Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar
271 Dartmouth Street, Boston, MA
Distance from Convention Center: 13 min. cab ride or 2.4 mi.
All tequilas are not made equal and we’re pretty certain the same can be said of tequila bars…especially tequila bars that rake in national accolades like Lolita Cocina and Tequila Bar. Named by Thrillist.com as one of the 21 Best Tequila Bars in the Country, this Back Bay must-do is a dark and vampy way to explore your tequila inhibitions…or lack thereof.
With over 50 tequilas on the menu (including a “Crazy Expensive” Cuervo 250th Anniversary for $250), there is sure to be something for every tequila lover.
But if you’re thinking “nah, I’m not much into tequila,” don’t worry. Their dinner menu is not to be overlooked. Named as one of OpenTable Diner’s Choice Hot Spot Restaurants in America, you can find a palatable favorite like vertical nachos loaded up with Monterey jack cheese, black beans, roasted corn, smoked bacon, guacamole, jalapenos, and sour cream (with added choices of chorizo, brisket or chicken to top off). Or take a chance on the self-named “Best Corn Ever.” (We’re pretty sure they wouldn’t lie, especially considering it has a spicy Mexican aioli draped over it.)
They even have a Street Food menu loaded up with mouth-watering choices like chorizo corn dogs (WHAT? I am ALL IN!), carne asada sliders and a chicken torta sandwich. And if you make it to Boston in time, they have all-you-can eat Taco Mondays for only $7. Yep. That means that you can pick up an extra souvenir or two at Inbound.
And, later? You can totally use their excuse: Tequila made me do it. Es muy bueno.
